Infusing Customer Development in the Product Development Lifecycle

As entrepreneurs with great ideas, we rush to building on our visions. Rightfully so, we see the finish line, and know we want to get there as of yesterday. However, we tend to forget that getting there faster is only one half of the equation.

I’ve come across the links below and I think it might be beneficial in better understanding the other half of the equation. Customer development early on in the product development lifecycle achieves the following;

  1. It makes for a better product.
  2. It helps solves the issue of what customers “really” want from your product.
  3. It tells you how much customers are willing to pay for it.
