December kicks off to a good start with DemoCamp 24 taking place on the 3rd. Gary Vaynerchuck, author of Crush It, will also be there to talk to all the entrepreneurs and developers. My feelings are that it would be different than the one that took place in Ottawa, with 3.5 times more people attending. All in all, it’s going to be a sweet event.

As entrepreneurs with great ideas, we rush to building on our visions. Rightfully so, we see the finish line, and know we want to get there as of yesterday. However, we tend to forget that getting there faster is only one half of the equation.
I’ve come across the links below and I think it might be beneficial in better understanding the other half of the equation. Customer development early on in the product development lifecycle achieves the following;

I think I found my favorite ad thus far.
As a freelance designer, I got contacted quite often to design advertisements and marketing collateral. Although, I haven’t done much in way of design for 2009. Most of my work this year involved a fair bit of networking, but a lot of web development on the back end. One habit I still carry forward is looking at how companies market their products and run their advertising campaigns. If it gets my attention for more than 10 seconds, its perfect.

I never did like maps. It was easier just to take the first right two blocks down from the third stop sign. Maybe not in that order. But my thinking was, there is going to be a gas station along the way that would at least point me far enough to get me to the next gas station 30 minutes later. Somebody’s gotta know where the heck I’m headed. See, simple!
And then they began hiring teens who didn’t know their left from right.

I’ve been a freelancer for many years. In the beginning, one of the things I always strived for was looking like, or projecting, the “Big Guy” image. And quite often, I found myself spending more time trying to build the image of a big company (maybe not as large as Microsoft), with very minimal resources
Along the way, I’ve managed to test and try various services and software, and found what worked for me, and likewise, what might work in your favor. I’ll keep it short and list them in no specific order.
